Founded in 1910 as east-central Indiana’s first private golf course, Delaware Country Club has developed over the past century into one of the premier facilities in the State of Indiana and was the first in the area to receive USGA certifications. Delaware Country Club is over 100 years old but never standing still.

Located just off SR 32 and less than a mile from SR 67 on Muncie’s east side, Delaware Country Club covers over 100 acres of beautiful rolling land. Delaware’s founding membership included such business luminaries as the Ball, Kitselman, Maxon and Galliher families. Today, Delaware Country Club is as important to local business as ever and has adapted to become a hub of family-oriented activities as well.

Course designer Arthur Lockwood supervised the original nine-hole layout at Delaware Country Club as well as the expansion to eighteen holes, which took place prior to 1920. Hole names of Long John, Haw Row and Despair where among those that greeted early members of Delaware's challenging course. The Club's first ever tournament was held on October 15, 1921.

The Clubhouse and pool were added in the 1930s and have since undergone several renovations and improvements over the years, including a gorgeous interior and exterior update in the spring of 2014.
Delaware Country Club was an early adopter of modern irrigation in the 1960s. In 1983, a new pro shop was completed and the current course routing was put into place. In 1989, the first USGA slope rating was obtained for all of the existing tee stations and the Club’s course became the first in Delaware County to receive USGA certification in 2003. Irrigation, drainage, bunker and green upgrades were completed in 2004.

Today, Delaware Country Club continues to offer members the finest golfing experience in the region including the Muncie area's premier 18-hole golf course, practice facilities for all aspects of the game, and a fully stocked pro shop led for the past two decades by Tom Harris, the 2006 Indiana PGA Professional of the Year.

Delaware also offers superior amenities including a full service clubhouse, fine dining and banquet facilities, swimming pool, private locker rooms and lounges, and a dedicated staff who are committed to providing an outstanding haven for members and their families.
